What remains of our travels is more than just the pictures we've made.
Every place we went, hiding the pleasure and comfort of our imagination.
This artwork, one of the serie 'Thoughts on Nature', is a virtual travel report through the landscape of the inner experience.
The starting point is a concrete location, in the immediate vicinity or further away.
The moment i was there was sometimes insignificant but afterwards a gateway, to another world.
"What I see cannot be captured.
What I capture is a lie.
Only much later I will understand.
How my eyes deceived me."
This work is composited with photos and edited multilayered in a mixture of photos and manipulated in an specific conceptual digital original.
All used photos are shot myself, and [re]edited in layers and manipulated to be composited together in a final, almost [sur]real digital edit: Composite photography.
Most my work consists of a mix of photography, drawing, and collage techniques. It is printed to a high standard, in close cooperation with a professional.
