In this project the kite symbolizes the space we can give each other.
Space for each other sounds simple, but is rather complicated. I notice that I do not always have space for another personally. Not because I do not like another, but more because I'm especially busy with myself. Also, is a bit in the nature of my work. But, it's basically just because someone else may be there without your judgment or that you are in the way of fulfilling his or her desires.
Give me breath to breathe and move. Then I feel so much space that there is enough space for everyone. And since that's an interaction, I'd better start playing the same room :)
With a combination of photography, compositing techniques, drawing and painting, I put in my work a relationship between the photographic perception and the inner perception.

Het gevoel van ruimte, je kunnen bewegen zoals je bent. Een vrije geest die kan gaan naar onbekende plekken of veilige havens. Zonder belemmering. Ieder mens kent dat verlangen en zoekt naar een plek waar dat mogelijk is.
In dit project staat de vlieger symbool voor de ruimte die we elkaar kunnen geven.
Ruimte voor elkaar klinkt simpel, maar is nogal ingewikkeld. Ik merk dat ik zelf lang niet altijd ruimte voor een ander heb. Niet omdat ik het een ander niet gun, maar meer omdat ik toch vooral met mezelf bezig ben. Zit ook een beetje in de aard van mijn werk. Maar toch, het gaat er eigenlijk gewoon om dat een ander er mag zijn, zonder dat je er een oordeel over hebt, of dat je een ander in de weg staat bij het vervullen van zijn of haar verlangens.
Geef mij lucht om te ademen en te bewegen. Dan voel ik zoveel ruimte dat er plek genoeg is voor iedereen. En aangezien dat dus een wisselwerking is kan ik maar beter gelijk beginnen die ander dezelfde ruimte te geven:)
